Too many times we've heard folks say "my check is smaller than I thought it would be", or "I don't think all of the Added Money was in there".
Here's what you need to know, and how to determine the total pot:
Races that are BRN4D or NWBHA prime sanctioned must put at LEAST 70% of entry fees into the pot. If a producer is paying back more, than 70% of entry fees this must be posted or advertised
Races that are BRN4D or NWBHA prime sanctioned require that 100% of advertised Added Money must be put into the pot.
You can find the jackpot breakdown at the top of most results sheets. Let's take a look at Open Race 1 from September 11th. We need to know the Entry Fee ($25), the Added Money ($100), and the number of entries in the class (47).
47 Entries x $25 Entry Fee = $1,175 Total Entry Fees 70% x $1,175 = $822.50 of Entry Fees go to the pot $822.50 + $100 Added Money = $922.50 Total pot payout
